Georgia

Georgia grew up in the seaside town of Fleetwood, England, with an after school regimen of Time Team & documentaries about the history of Britain that left her tempted by archaeology from an early age. Like many 90s kids, she had fascinations with Egyptology & the Titanic, as well as the darker sides of history (an interest fueled by a middle school history teacher who taught medieval torture methods when the class was well-behaved).

At the age of 13, she moved to Illinois and experienced a large amount of culture shock upon arriving in the Midwest and was eventually romanced once again by archaeology.

Now an elder emo facing the every day struggles of back pain & mental health, Georgia lives in Illinois and spends her days working with collections. In her free time, she reads; cross stitches; crochets; enjoys cheese & wine; plays TTRPGs & Stardew Valley; collects thimbles; and hangs out with her cat, Luna.

Hannah

Hannah, a ‘97 baby, grew up with her family in northeast Ohio, where she spent most of her time reading or playing in the park behind her family’s house. She’s been a fan of the fantastical and nerdy since the moment she learned to read; the first series she tackled was Harry Potter, and then right onto the world of dragons with Eragon and Eldest. She loved anything that involved solving mysteries, so long as someone else was solving them.

She received her B.S in Anthropology/Archaeology from Mercyhurst University in 2019 and immediately went to work. She jumped around as a field tech from state to state, and very briefly the USVI, before settling in Central Illinois in 2021 with her partner Seth. They adopted their large boye Milo in November that year.

Hannah spends her time cooking the same five meals, reading crime novels, practicing guitar, going on road trips, and playing TTRPGs with her friends. She unfortunately also has back pain.
